Jake is a seasoned biotech executive with over 17 years of commercial & partnering experience, including significant expertise in gene delivery and gene editing technologies. Before joining Mekonos, Jake helped bring over 100 new products to market while at System Biosciences (SBI), including the first commercial CRISPR/Cas9 research tools. Jake also negotiated multiple out-licenses of SBI’s lentiviral vector technology to biotech and pharma partners for CAR-T development. Jake received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, where he studied biomedical informatics.
